Now an end-of-life 16-bit fixed-point digital signal processor from Analog Devices’ ADSP-2187L family, the ADSP-2187LBSTZ-210 is housed in a 100-lead LQFP package. Based on a modified Harvard architecture, the device integrates on-chip SRAM for program and data storage, two synchronous serial ports, a DMA controller, and a programmable interval timer. With single-cycle instruction execution, it delivers up to 40 MIPS performance for computationally intensive tasks such as real-time filtering, FFT analysis, and closed-loop motor control. Typical deployments include industrial automation platforms, legacy military communications systems, and embedded audio processing modules where deterministic latency and low power consumption are essential.

This processor variant has been formally discontinued by Analog Devices and is no longer in active production, making replenishment sourcing a challenge for programs that cannot support a redesign.
