BD429A-G

BD429A-G is a Device Engineering ARINC 429 line-driver IC. The BD429/DEI0429 family supports the 100 kHz high-speed and 12.5 kHz low-speed data rates described in the manufacturer datasheet. It provides the transmit-side electrical interface; it is not a complete ARINC protocol controller or a line receiver.

Which package and temperature range apply to BD429A-G? DEI's product selector lists the exact BD429A-G in a 16-lead wide-body SOIC, with a -55°C to +85°C operating range and 37.5-ohm output resistance. Do not copy the +125°C rating of the ceramic BD429 or DEI0429 versions onto this plastic-package ordering code.

Can BD429A1-G or another ARINC 429 driver replace it? A similar function or package is not proof of interchangeability. Check the full ordering code, pin assignment, supply and reference requirements, slew-rate components, output behavior and the approved board documentation before accepting a substitution. The system design and application approval remain separate from the component's published characteristics.
